SPECIAL SCREENING “CACHOEIRA DOC RETROSPECTIVE”

We are happy to announce another novelty in this edition of FINCAR – International Women Filmmakers Festival. With the special curatorship of Amaranta Cesar, we’ll screen the special program “Cachoeira Doc Retrospective” with films that participated in past editions of Cachoeira Doc – Documentary Festival of Cachoeira (BA).

Amaranta Cesar is a professor and researcher of Cinema and Audiovisual at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia. She has a PhD in Cinematographic Studies from the University of Paris 3 – Sorbonne Nouvelle. Creator and curator of Cachoeira Doc – Documentary Festival of Cachoeira, held in the city of Cachoeira, Bahia. Amaranta has published articles and book chapters on African and Diaspora Cinemas, Indigenous Cinemas, Documentary and Militant Cinemas.
